I haven’t been to an event in a very long time so tonight I’m heading to, EVE for the return of, FALSETA. I am addicted to this band, like one is addicted to shoes, bad 80’s music, lipgloss and frozen yogurt. Tonight will be a great night for all you Kezia and Falseta fan’s, this show will be like no other show you’ve ever attended. So get ready to be blown away, you are not going to want to miss this! Doors open at 7:30, admission is $10. See you there!
I have a serious crush on all the members of Space Between Words, Ssshhhh…don’t tell a soul. There’s just something about the poetic rhapsody that sends me into a whimsical musical universe of yellow fields, and bare foot walks with daisy flowing above my head, as I process what feeling adhere with me best. I had been listening to the buzz about SBW for the past 6 months or so give and take a couple of weeks. And when I finally got to see them perform at Churchills last month; I was blown away by their style and energy… it was totally worth the wait to see them go on at 2:30am.
After their set I had the pleasure of speaking with Steven (guitar/singer) of Space Between Words, who handed me the bands album “And We All Follow the Sun” & can I just add…that he is one of the most genuine, and kindest men I have come across in a very long time. His voice on stage is pure power, his energy electrifying for someone who steps off the stage, and becomes soft spoken and humble. Since that night I have grown a liking to Space Between Words, who have now made their way into my ipod, and if you know me, then you know I never go any where without my ipod. Every song makes me move, I even caught myself having a rush to paint, and just the other day as I was listening to them I had the urge to have a brush in my hand and so I painted. Haven’t had one of those moments in a long time. Its just like my friend Michele said: They fuel my own creativity.
If you’re a Miami local, or simply visit often & or happen to catch yourself near a venue in which they will be playing, GO! Because they give one heck of an awesome show!

I know that big music names are a good emotional investment. You can always count on them to be there for you when you need it, on the radio, on the television, on some tour coming to your town. But the ones that I’m finding some really good music therapy relief in are the local bands in Miami. Friday night I found myself at Tobacco Road to support my favorite Miami band 7 Seas, and what I encountered was that Spanish rock music is pretty freaking awesome. Have you heard of Avenida Zero? No, well then what are you waiting for?
I love listening to new bands, picking up new albums and even meeting the members of a new group just to see them thrive on to stardom; it makes it very special when you have been a part of it from the very beginning. Now, I didn’t find this group at the start of the band, but I found them just in time to see what happens next, and believe me when I say; I can’t wait to see it all come together for them since they have become my very own personal band. I’ve been listening to this group for over a year now; I found them by chance while storming thru the countless Indie artists’ on Itunes as I looked for something to keep me up during the endless nights I spent trying to finish my novel. And I’m glad I did because it seems that I too have caught their eye on twitter making them my New BFFs of the World :) I’m giddy about them just as much as I am giddy about chocolate, and you all know how much I love chocolate. ILOVECHOCOLATE! Allow me to introduce to you Rick, Eddie, and Patrick this is glo. Thanks and your welcome!
I hope you enjoy this week’s choice of music, glo has made it into my everyday playlist I hope they make it into yours. Click to hear more on theirMySpace, I should re-open my old MySpace account just for the new material coming in. Enjoy! :)
